To our beloved customers, friends and family: join us in congratulating the man, the myth, the legend… Brent Coursey! Brent is our founding father, who built Woodstock from the ground up back in 1996.

If you don’t know our history, here’s how we got started…

We were founded about 25 years ago, when Brent, a lifelong refurbishment and restoration hobbyist, left the restaurant industry to follow his passion. Brent began his career purchasing and restoring buildings and homes, which served as an introduction to the unique character of antique first growth lumber.

He fell in love with reclaiming this lumber and saw opportunities throughout the changing Nashville landscape to restore these materials from dozens of aging and abandoned warehouses.

With this vision, Woodstock Vintage Lumber was founded.

What followed were years and years of hard work… at first by himself, and then slowly building his team.

Nearly three decade of putting his customers first, amazing staff coming and going, multiple shop locations, jobs big and small, lots of shop dogs and cats (RIP Boy, Blade and more) and just about every kind of project you can think of involving reclaimed wood.

Fast forward to today… our work can be seen in homes nationwide, dozens of downtown Nashville hotels including The Bobby, The Cambria and The 505 and lots of local establishments like the Nashville Sounds Stadium, the Nashville Zoo, Lockeland Table, Burger Up and more.

To this day, Brent’s main passion in life is refurbishing anything deemed “old,” “broken” or "vintage” (trucks.. boats… refrigerators... wood… you name it). Though he is retired and may not be in the shop every day anymore, if you know Brent, you know he is never too far away. He’ll always be a part of our story.

So, you’re wondering… okay, what’s up with Woodstock now?

We aren’t going anywhere, don’t worry! The Woodstock name shall live on. Which brings us to our second congratulations…

Elias Reyes (who has been with us for over 13 years!) is now leading our team here at Woodstock. If you don’t know Elias, let us tell you a little bit about him.

Since he came to us many years ago, Elias worked his way up from a builder, to shop foreman, to now running the show around here. If you can dream it... we are willing to betcha that this guy can build it.

He works harder than anyone we know, can successfully run a shop, and we are convinced he has a photographic memory because of how meticulously he keeps track of all the wood on our yard.

If you’ve ordered box beams, a table, doors or pretty much anything in the last few years from us… there’s about a 99.9% chance that Elias built it. He’s been our go-to guy for the last decade and we can’t think of a better person for Brent to pass the barn wood baton to.

After we experienced a devastating shop fire at the end of 2019, we moved locations.

It’s no secret that navigating a fire, move and pandemic was a difficult task. Thank you so much to all of our customers who supported us during that time.

Today, we are successfully all set up with new equipment in our new shop. We’re thrilled to be back to running flooring, accent wall and building shelves/tables/doors just like we have been doing for the last 20+ years.

Our new yard is located on the outskirts of Ashland City (don’t worry, if you cannot make it out there - we offer delivery). We are out in the country and wouldn’t have it any other way!

If you have any reclaimed wood needs, we’d love to help you out at our new location. We ask that you call to set an appointment before you come by. You can also send us an email here.
